|
It can be hard to make big changes to your diet for a healthier you. Making smaller changes in tiny increments will make those changes less drastic and more likely to be permanent. Here are some small changes you can begin to make in improving your diet and your health.
1. Decrease the amount of salt you take in. Read labels and choose items with less sodium content. Don’t add additional salt to items.
2. Decrease the amount of sugar you take in. Reduce sugary drinks. Decrease the amount of sugar you sprinkle on fruit or cereal. After you begin using less, consider substituting with a natural sweetener or substitute. There are many natural substitutes that work well decreasing your risk for diabetes.
3. Avoid fried foods or opt for a product like grape-seed oil as an oil substitute when frying. You get the same great result but without the risks that other oils carry. Grape-seed oil products can be found through companies like Wildtree.
4. Add more fruits and vegetables to you daily diet. Fruits and veggies can be added in smoothies, as raw snacks, or chopped in salads or sauces.
Making these small changes can improve your overall nutrition and overall state of health if you stick to it. Here is to a healthier you. Share your ideas for improving your nutrition.
