Spicy broccoli
|
Eating broccoli with certain spicy foods, especially those containing the enzyme myrosinase, adds to its cancer-fighting abilities.
You can read an article about it here: More evidence that spicing up broccoli boosts its cancer-fighting power.
The articles mentions adding broccoli powder, mustard, horseradish, or wasabi. I don’t know what broccoli powder is, and I think the other ones are too hot for me.
However they also mention radishes, cabbage, arugula, watercress, and Brussels sprouts. I like radishes. I wonder if it will work if you can eat raw radishes with your cooked broccoli?
