Eat walnuts!

Ok, so the study was done in mice and we already know that walnuts are a good, healthy food to eat. And researchers who have studied groups of people who tend to live longer than average have already noted that many of them tend to eat a lot of nuts.
Still, this is interesting. A study in the journal Nutrition and Cancer showed that mice fed walnuts regularly had a significantly reduced risk of developing breast cancer. The amount of walnuts given to the mice corresponds to about 2 ounces a day for a person.
I keep baking walnuts and almonds – those without salt – in the freezer and get a handful out now and then to eat. I would like to do it everyday, but for whatever reason most days I just don’t. I need to get better at that.
